Vision

Bit Project is a UC Davis student organization that designs, develops, and delivers project-based STEM education to K-5th grade students. BitQuest connects the next generation of leaders with UC Davis undergraduate students and engineering professors to explore and build various engineering projects.


Mission

We want to provide younger students with equal opportunities to pursue STEM, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds. As a student-run organization based at UC Davis, we hope to provide fruitful volunteering experiences for undergraduates and hands-on learning experiences for elementary school students.

We provide unique, interdisciplinary science and engineering design experiences.
We collaborate with UC Davis faculty and students to provide students with unique, hands-on STEM learning opportunities.

HOW TO PREPARE:

Tickets
Tickets are for students in grades 2-5 (ages 7-11) only.

Drop Off
The camp is a drop-off camp.
Parents are encouraged to stay if they’d like, however they will not be able to participate in the activities.

Registration
Registration starts at 9:30am and ends at 9:50am.
Please read through the Participation Waiver and Photography Waiver below before purchasing tickets.
Tickets must only be purchased by students who accept the terms for both waivers.

Food
There will be no food provided at the event.
Parents are advised to pack a lunch box for students.
Bottled water and water stations will be available for students to use.

Pick Up
The activities will end at 12pm and the students will be ready for pick up.
Parents should be ready to pick up by 12:15pm latest.
Volunteers will not be expected to stay after 12:15pm.

What's the schedule like for each event?
Each event will start at 10am and end at 12pm. Students will be working on various individual and group based projects throughout the events. For more information, check the schedule for each event above.

Who can buy tickets?
The BitQuest program is for students in grades 2-5. Only students with official tickets approved by Bit Project will be allowed to join the program and participate in the activities.

Can I get a refund?
There will be no refunds once the tickets are bought. The tickets are for the full 5 week program and missing events will not result in money back.

How much does the BitQuest program cost?
The first event is free, with a limited number of seats.
Tier 1: Tickets bought before the first free event (April 11th at 10am) can be purchased at $200 per student for the full 5-week program.
Tier 2: Tickets bought after the first free event (April 11th at 10am) will cost $300 per student for the full 5-week program.
** We do not sell tickets per event.

Where is it located?
BitQuest S20 will be held in Kemper Hall of Engineering. More information will be provided after purchasing tickets.

Will there be food/drinks?
Bit Project will be providing bottled water for students. Students are encouraged to bring their own food if they’d like to.
